The Great TCG War
The game was created and held in TPM's Message Board. In order to play, you need to be a member of the UBB and have Apprentice program.

Goal:
The goal is to capture the opponent's flag and bring it back to their own turf. Whichever team manages to do that, they win.

Map:
On the map there are many different terrains, if you are in a terrain, you must obey all properties listed. Click here to view the map and the rules of the terrains.

Setup:
Each person in the game must be armed with a deck and each team has a list of pokémon, which serve as the main pokémon you can use for your deck. (Ex. Just say the list has Meganium, Venusaur, and Jumpluff, if you wanted a grass deck you would choose one of those three pokémon. If someone else is using a pokémon on the list, you may not use it) Now your deck must have a SINGLE COLOR OF POKÉMON in it, the only exception is that you may use cleffa. (So if you are using a grass deck, the only non-grass pokémon may be cleffa) In your deck you must have at least 2 of the main pokémon you chose. (which are all evolutions) Standard DCI tournament rules apply. It is recommended that you consult with your team captain before you start to make sure noone else is using your deck and so he can make it better. Each player starts on a hill square in their territory.

Movement:
When you move on the board, you are on a grid and you may move from one square to an adjacent square. You may move horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. If you move horizontally or vertically, you must wait until 4 other people move before you can move again (2 from your team, 2 from the other team). If you move diagonally you must wait until 6 other people (3 from your team, 3 from the other team) move before you can move again. (Ex. You would say “I move from A3-B3.") Only 2 people of the same team may occupy a space at the same time. One exception is that only one person may be on the flag square to guard it.

Battling:
If you enter a square occupied by your opponent, you become the attacker and the opponent is the defender. As the defender you have 2 options: fight or flee. You have 3 days to respond and battle. If you do not respond or if you do not battle it will be as if you lost the battle. If you lose, the opposing team captures the deck you are using and if you are in your territory then you are paralyzed (you can do nothing until 10 people have moved) and if you are in enemy territory, you are captured. (ex. If the grass pokémon available to your team is Meganium, Venusaur, and Jumpluff and you are using Jumpluff when you lose, Jumpluff would no longer be available to your team and would be available to the other team. As soon as you are back in the game you must choose another pokémon from your teams list and create a new deck following all the deck guidelines) If you decide to flee then have to give up your deck, and you would move to a hill square in your territory and you would have to select a new deck from your teams pokémon list. All battles are played over apprentice.

Prison and Rescuing:
Each team must have a prison, which can be in any square in their territory (they must say which square at the beginning of the game and may not move. If a player is captured they are instantly sent to the prison. There can be any number of prisoners of the prisoners but only one guard. The prisoners can be released if one of their teammates reaches the prison and defeats the guard. Then all of the prisoners and the rescuer would instantly be sent to a hill square in their territory and the ex-prisoners would select a new deck from their teams pokémon list.

Winning:
To win, a player from a team must get to their opponents flag square and defeat the guard. If you defeat the guard, you must get back to your territory without getting captured. If you get captured while carrying the flag, then flag stays in the space where you were captured.
