Ash was born in the town of Pallet. He lives with his mother Delilia and dreams to be a Pokémon Master one day. He received his first Pokémon, a Pikachu, from Professor Oak, the town Professor and also a family friend. On his journey, he is accompanied by Misty and Brock, as well as Team Rocket who wants to steal his 'special' Pikachu. Ash seems to be a person of great destiny as he is part of two prophecies; one during the battle with Mewtwo and the other being the Chosen One to save the world with Lugia's Help. He is also a person who thinks of others before himself, although he can be pretty selfish and boastful at times.
